Vlad couldn't help but wonder who William's fable counterpart was; whether it was someone like Dracula or perhaps someone a little less... well, evil. He didn't seem like the sort of man who would have a useless fable, like Jonathan Harker or even a prince, but he couldn't be sure. Asking didn't seem like a good idea, since he might not want to share that particular information.
"I doubt that will be a problem," he said dryly, directing his flashlight's beam down another hallway. "This does not apply to everyone, obviously, but there are a number of people who are quite skilled in the art of stupidity. With any luck, our troublemaker will be one of them." His footsteps were silent on the stairs as he listened as well as looked, but at best he could hear only the low hum of a television.
