Vlad seemed ... hm. Will hadn't been very good at telling much about people before he got to know them, since in his opinion most people were generally pretty similar, but every so often a first impression boded positive instead of negative. Vlad seemed fairly straightforward - well-educated, obviously, but not too high-and-mighty from the get-go. And when he said he was armed, that was definitely a plus in William's eyes. People these days were too afraid or too stupid to carry a gun for the most part, and while he didn't mind it all that much - the stupider a person was, the less they should have a gun - when you were going looking for people who had already done damage, then why wouldn't you carry?
"Let's go." He started up the stairwell before glancing back. "Do people not come armed for something like this?" What did they bring, heavy objects? Something to bash skulls in? Pepper spray? Or did they just bring a phone and hope for the best?
