If Ileana was being honest, she really didn't want to make a big deal out of her birthday coming and going. Birthdays never were huge celebrations for Ileana ever since she could remember. Though she wouldn't actually dwell on the fact most of her birthdays with her mother weren't even remembered events, so they weren't her favorite days of the year. It was, however, nice to have a night out with Cole so she wasn't really complaining.
He hadn't said how fancy this dinner out would be or where exactly they'd be heading, so Ileana played it safe when she was getting ready. She wore her hair down and curled, opting for lighter make up as well. Her blue, party dress was a little more fancy than she anticipated, but she hoped she didn't look too overdressed.
Ileana hurried to the door when she heard him knock, opening it with a smile. She returned the kiss, laughing a little quietly and took the flowers from Cole. "Thank you. Lemme just put these in water. I'm almost ready," she told him. She stepped aside for Cole to come inside.
The apartment was a little different from how Cole would remember it. It looked more lived in and brighter as Ileana had put her own touches on the apartment. She stepped into the kitchen for a moment to set the flowers in water. Coming back out, Ileana went to grab her jacket and looked Cole over. "You look really nice tonight."
