WHO: Helena and Oliver WHAT: Neighborhood Watch! It brings people together. WHERE: First the lobby, and then around. WHEN: Tonight/Tomorrow, a little before 2:40 a.m. WARNINGS: None?
Helena hadn’t quite recognized the name of her partner for the evening’s watch. She had seen it on the forums, of course, and she vaguely remembered he was some sort of doctor, but other than that she didn’t know much about him. She couldn’t put a face to it at all but that didn’t worry her too much. If this exercise was supposed to accomplish anything, it was supposed to build trust between the neighbors. Helena was hanging her hopes on the fact that no psychopaths were signing up for the watch, just residents concerned about safety.
When her alarm went off she rolled out of bed quickly, trying not to wake the man next to her, although she doubted she succeeded. She quietly changed into a pair of jeans and a hooded sweater, grabbed her things, gave Vlad a quick kiss goodbye and slipped out of the penthouse silently. The elevator was being kind to her during this early hour and she arrived in the lobby with a soft yawn.
The lobby was lit, although not particularly bright, and she tested out her flashlight as she waited for her partner. Her cellphone was in her back pocket of her jeans, and her mace was in the front pocket of her sweater but other than that she traveled light. When she heard the approaching movement behind her, she turned toward it, her hand in her pocket closing around the spray just in case.
