"I'm fine," Nick assured Evie, "Whatever Tegan did the full moon night helped. It was weird cause Peter asked her to make the pain go away and she did. I think that's her magic thing, cause everything is healing really nice now."

Nick leaned against the door frame, grabbing his water bottle with still shaky hands. The bubble of emotions and having to be out in public had popped, leaving him to feel vulnerable and shaky again. "It was better. Like, if I got stuck in there I don't think you could get me out. I mean, Jack had to sign all those papers and not you.."
