Nick snapped his attention to Evie, focusing in on her. His anger fizzled out quicker than a firework with one quick burst than fading away. Sometimes, Nick wondered when Evie became clearly the better older sibling than her older siblings. Going easily in to another hug with Evie, Nick rest his head on top of her's for the moment.

"'m sorry," he sighed, "I just want to make sure we'll be okay." He wasn't even going to mention that Evie was supposed to go to college at the end of the summer. No matter what time she thought they had, Nick knew he couldn't just tag along for the rest of Evie and his' lives. "We've got each other, right? We can get this to work.."
