Nick shrugged a little like it didn't bother him. He'd been restrained before -- an unfortunate, terrifying event even before everything else in Bellum had happened. "I'm fine now though," he said reassuringly, as if running away was a thing of the past.

Hesitating for a brief moment, Nick went over to Evie and slid an arm around her shoulders. He tugged her close against his side and leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "I won't run again. Long as we try for no more hospitals? I'm sorry I worried you. I'll be better at this brother thing soon, I promise."
