Nick didn't stop the smile that spread across his face when Evie hugged him. He lifted his arms and gently hugged her back, holding her close for the moment. It didn't matter how little time could have passed between them, he always appreciated getting a hug from Evie.
He laughed a little when he pulled back, shuffling off to the kitchen and not particularly answering her question. Instead he busied himself with grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. "I didn't think, Boyd and Hannah did," he called out before he took his medication. He walked back to stand in the doorway of the kitchen, sipping on his water. "The restraints were bad and they weren't listening to me when I said I couldn't...you know, the restraints scared me. I was happier to run away than to stay."
