Peter had had vivid dreams before, but none had stuck with him like the one he'd had the night before. He couldn't explain it, and he tried to push it to the back of his mind as best he could. He put it off to some bad seafood and went about his day. By the time evening came around he was feeling a serious sweet tooth coming on and he figured he'd better get that taken care of before he settled in for a very thrilling night of Left 4 Dead 2 with a couple of his cousins back in Texas.
He told Quincey to behave himself and headed down to the coffee shop to grab a sticky bun. They were pretty amazing, and while he usually only got them in the mornings he was having a serious craving for one right then. It didn't take him long to get there and he walked in and his eyes did a scan of the room, Pete loved to people watch. However he was startled when he saw someone who looked so familiar he almost didn't believe she was real. Had he fallen asleep on the couch? He suddenly wasn't trusting himself at all but before too long someone accidentally bumped his shoulder and he'd definitely felt that. The woman from his dream was standing here in this coffee shop plain as the nose on his face. She looked different, and clothed, but he knew it was her. He looked around to see if he was causing some kind of scene just by staring at her, but it didn't seem anyone had noticed.
He didn't want to startle her, what if he was just going crazy? It may have made sense. Maybe he'd just seen her in here one day and that's why she'd been in his dream. At least that's what he kept telling himself. He wanted to approach her, but had no idea what he was supposed to say. She'd probably think he was a freak. He knew she didn't know him, although his mind changed significantly when he felt her eyes on him and he was making eye contact with her from across the room, he smiled slightly and waved with one hand not wanting to look as insane as he felt. Somehow he could tell that he wasn't the only person who remembered that dream. It almost made him feel calmer. Almost.
