"I'm thrilled," she replied dryly, throwing back a long sip of her second beer. It ran down her throat smoothly, and for a moment, she forgot that she was drinking alcohol. It just didn't really taste like it anymore. It was just beer, as if beer could be a separate food group. Or a separate drink group. Why did foods get groups, but drinks didn't? Drinks were just as important as foods, and-
She shook her head. She wasn't drunk enough for that kind of train of thought. Not yet, anyway. Maybe later.
After a bit of silence, she looked over at him, swirling her now half-empty second bottle. "So how's the tattoo looking?" While still looking his way, she raised her bottle and took another swig. "I never did see it after all the redness went away, it still good?"
