"The change is exciting," she agreed, even though it was slightly hypocritical coming from her. She and change had never gotten along very well in the past, but that didn't mean it couldn't be for the best. "And as bad as it sounds, a higher wage would be nice too." People had to survive, after all; that wasn't selfish. Even though she liked her current job, she knew it sounded more like a volunteer position than actual work, so she prepared herself for whatever Diego might think of it. "I work at an animal shelter downtown. I... well, I pretty much do whatever needs to be done. They're kind of understaffed."
Hannah thought what whatever had happened must have been connected to their fables somehow, but since it didn't tie in to Cinderella's story, it must have been Sinbad. He went on all sorts of adventures in the stories, didn't he? "Maybe." She frowned, lips pursed in thought. "It probably had something to do with your fable. Sinbad, he went on lots of adventures - so it makes sense, because fighting a monster near the ocean doesn't fit Cinderella's tale at all."
