Ella knew Luther was someone new, and she knew Daniel wasn't used to new people. She sat on the arm of his chair (since that gave her an excuse to place a soothing hand on his arm), and she looked at Luther and then down at Daniel. "Would you rather we go into one of the rooms?" she asked the man at her side. Part of her thought it would help, if was there, but another part wondered if he could handle it. She'd always refused to treat him with kid-gloves like the others did, refused to treat him like a child, but she was worried about him, and it showed on her face when she looked at Luther again.
She would allow him to decide for himself.
"Just the beginning and the end," she said vaguely, not wanting to go into detail if Daniel preferred not to be present.
