He didn't come right out and ask if she'd found another job, but he did leave it open so that she could offer an answer if she wanted to. He wondered where she worked before and what happened there, although it was probably for the best that he didn't know the specifics.
Bran shook his head, watching Lotte inspect the penthouse hallway before heading back down the stairs to do it all over again. "I mean the attractions. It's not exactly boring here." He thought of what might constitute as his family: the mother who'd never wanted him, the grandparents who'd tortured him, and the father he had never known. "I don't have any family left."
It seemed pointless to keep doing this for hours more, walking up and down the stairs waiting for something to happen when it was very likely that nothing would anyway. Suggesting that they stop wasn't an option, since she'd probably wonder why. All they could do was just keep going, he supposed.
