Her eyebrows raised slightly as he pulled away and the topic made her also pull back, not quite relaxing. She had been wondering if and when he would bring it up. She had been more surprised that he hadn't made his displeasure known sooner.
"I think the watch is an idea. Whether it's a particularly good one remains to be seen." She knew it was a slight sidestep, addressing the watch and not her volunteering for it. "Safety has always been an issue for as long as we've been here and, especially after what happened to Ella, I think that we all need to take a firmer stand on it. For a while we've been waiting for something or someone, the police or even the landlord, to come and help keep order and nothing has come. Maybe there are better ways of going about it than this but at least it's a start."
