Since the phone call early in her shift, all Ileana could think about was what could have happened to scare Cole that badly. It kept her mind preoccupied with wondering if he would be all right, what the stalker had done, and various scenarios where she was able to stab the guy in the neck for what he's doing. Not that any of this was helping her job performance at all, which she was told off for causing a collision.
Exiting the restaurant, Ileana looked up at the sky for a moment and took a deep breath. She forgot her coat earlier, but she felt fine even with the soup stain on the front of her white work shirt. She started to wonder again if she could get out of Cole what had happened to him. It took forever to get secrets out of Cole, though she couldn't bring herself to throw stones since she currently wasn't telling him it was her birthday yesterday. Not that she'd even tell him now, since he's got bigger things to worry about.
Ileana looked down the street and saw Cole approach, bringing her hand up to wave a little. It's when he was close enough that she noticed the look on his face before she was pulled into a tight hug. Immediately her arms went up to wrap around his waist and held on just as tight until the moment passed. Reaching up when he pulled back to touch his cheek, Ileana leaned in to kiss him before she pulled back with an attempt to mask her worry. "Hey you. Are you okay?"
