"'She was there'," Daisy echoed dimly, then she remembered. "Oh! Yeah, who was she?" The allure of the outstretched hand was too much to resist and she reached for him, marveling at the size difference in their palms. Since she wasn't about to swoon, however, Daisy wasn't sure what else to do, but she curled her fingers around his hand anyway. Why let the moment go to waste?
"You don't have to apologize. You saved...my life. Marian's. Our life. Lives." Daisy frowned, unsure of whose life was saved exactly.
