Who: Cole and Micah What: Preservation of the dead Where: 802 When: A few hours after this Warnings: Decomposing bodies?
Cole waited for Micah to arrive, because there was really nothing else for him to do. There was no way he was touching Aaron's corpse and bringing it anywhere, not to mention the fact that he was going to look like some kind of psychopath walking through the halls of Bellum with a blanket or garbage-bag wrapped body. The smell was terrible, but he strangely became accustomed to it as the hours passed. He walked around in a daze, hardly noticing Salacia cowering under the opposite couch and hissing at the dead body every few minutes.
His door was broken - it wouldn't shut properly, never mind lock, so after he called in sick to work he called a repairman, who said he wouldn't be able to fix it until the day after next. He hung up the phone, unable to even bring himself to care that he'd have to shove furniture in front of his door for the next two days or so, because he had a feeling the repairman would come at the latest possible time he could. If his stalker wanted to get in, this was a perfect time to do it; but with the threat of the Headless Horseman, what did it matter? Either he would be beheaded when he was Ichabod and completely incapable of defending himself, or he'd be confronted by a mentally unstable stalker with a chance at coming out the victor.
He couldn't bring himself to eat anything, not that he was really hungry. So instead he sat at the kitchen table and tried to read until he heard a knock at the door, rising from his chair to push the dresser away from the door, which promptly creaked open a few inches once the obstacle was gone.
"Hi. I guess you remembered, huh?" Cole nudged the door all the way open silently, letting the other man enter.
