Re: Catacombs
Though her mind remained entirely on him, Lotte found it impossible to even guess what was going through his mind. All she knew was how Erik had been and how he felt towards her – Christine. There was nothing to go on, only a name and a glimpse in the lightened hallways before. Now she could only just watch his, barely illuminated by the candlelight and be thankful he wasn’t keeping her down there. That enough should have been enough – it was almost like he was pushing her away. She could deal with that, most definitely, as it would make her able to process everything in the safety of her own apartment.
Lotte paused for a moment before saying in a rush, “Be less worried about everyone I meet outside of the building.” She didn’t need that. “And ask you who you are…” That might have been the better question to start with. Her lips pressed together, wishing she had the time to think straight. “I’ve talked to more people on the forums then face-to-face.”
It occurred to her that he might have the same questions to ask. She’d kept quiet that she was Christine of course – just in case this happened. Was there any point in keeping it to herself anymore, if he’d found her? At least Erik had by fate… She frowned, looking to him. “I do live here but that was said…” Leaving the others out for now was fine.
