Re: Floor 12 - going down the stairs
Cinderella kept back up even as she tried to distract the creature, her cries becoming loud shouts instead of words as she desperately tried to keep its attention off Sinbad. She saw him dart forward and felt a surge of hope that maybe, just maybe, this plan wasn't as foolish as she was beginning to fear it was. Once she saw him plunge the sword into the monstrous foot she stopped waving her arms, the start of a smile tugging at her lips before dying completely when the creature shrieked. She covered her ears with a wince, slipping in the sand and falling to her knees.
She almost looked up too late to see the creature stumble forward, but luckily she caught the movement in the nick of time and pushed herself up, half running and half scrambling for cover before the gigantic monster fell, covering her head with her arms and ducking behind a piece of wood. The creature kept shrieking and she didn't want to look, but she peered around her refuge and watched in horror as Sinbad was flung through the air. "Oh!" She got to her feet a tad unsteadily, concern darkening her eyes when she saw the blood. "I'm alright, but you--"
Before she could even take a step forward everything changed again, their surroundings morphing and twisting and making her feel as though she might faint. She clutched the piece of wood beside her, but it disappeared as the stairwell of Bellum returned and she found herself holding the railing instead. For a moment Cinderella was confused, but relief flooded through her when she realized they were back. They were safe, and the realization almost made her want to sob.
"No," she said after a moment, blinking shaking her head. "No, it didn't hurt me." She felt a little sore and bruised from constantly throwing herself to the ground, but she was in far better condition than he. "But it hurt you. We need to find you some help, something to... to make the blood stop."
