Dracula bared his fangs at her defiance, but it was only a warning, letting her know that he wouldn't tolerate such disobedience for long. Once they reached the elevator, Dracula paused, using the mortal's knowledge and pressing the button to summon it. Once it arrived he shoved Mina forward, his frown becoming a predatory smile once his attention settled on Lucy, and he waited until she followed her friend before stepping in himself and pressing the button to begin its descent.
"No," he told her, his tone dismissive. "Even if we did, Van Helsing cannot stop us now, nor can his foolish friends." Floor after floor passed them by, and despite his confidence he was always alert, just in case. "They are only human, weak and frail. If they attempt to stand in our way, their blood shall be ours."
