Benjamin Whit ([info]lionlike) wrote in [info]bellumlogs,
4th floor + stairwell to 3rd floor.
Whatever moment of peace the fourth floor may have been experiencing was soon to be completely ruined. Whereas room #407 was usually quiet, that was not the case tonight. The commotion started off slowly, with thumps, bangs, and the occasional gruff-sounding something coming from inside the apartment.

Then, it seemed whatever was inside realised how to escape. All of a sudden, 407's door was the subject of wild abuse. Something obviously heavy was being thrown against it from the inside, with enough force to send tremors through the connected walls. Soon, there was the loud, unmistakable crack of wood splintering as the latch gave way. The door swung open with a much lighter shove this time, allowing a large tawny-gold creature to rush out in to the landing.

How else was a lion supposed to get through?
