"Oh." Aaron's description meant nothing to Ichabod, but he thought that it might mean something to Cole. He was fairly certain that the man would remember all of this, but just in case, perhaps leaving a note wasn't such a bad idea. He left the book open as he rose from the couch, frowning at the writing utensils before scribbling a quick note. He mentioned the Horseman, Aaron returning from the dead, and mention of someone named Vaughn and the boy's concern that she wouldn't take care of the dog.
Once he was finished, he left the note next to Watson's and returned to the fairy tale book. "Your death will not go unpunished," he added, certain that Cole would do whatever he could to see to that. Ichabod was silent for a few moments before letting out a cry of excitement, raising his head. "I believe I may have found something. It may be a stretch, but--" He turned the book around, having been flipping pages at random by this point. The story on the open page was titled 'The Willful Child', and although it was short, it was the only tale he'd skimmed that seemed relevant.
