Who: Rosalie and Boyd What: Talking Where: With Rick's family When: After this Warnings: None, I hope.
When the red-haired man had approached her in the waiting room soon after she finished talking to Daniel, Rosalie had been wary. But he'd had a badge and he had told her that Boyd was in danger, so she had gone along with him. Finally seeing Boyd was a relief, even though she looked at least as bad as Rosalie did and had fallen asleep quickly. Rosalie had talked some, but Rick hadn't told her much except that she needed to not tell anyone where they were staying and be careful and some other stuff that Rosalie had tried her best to listen to but found that it drifted straight through her sleep-deprived brain instead.
The house was somewhere in the suburbs and there was a family in it. Rosalie didn't know what they thought about hosting two strange young women and she didn't stay long after polite introductions to chat about it, excusing herself away from the woman's affectionate greeting of Rick and the sound of children (happy children), trying not to fall. It was all too much. She peeked into Boyd's room, but she looked to be asleep and she still hadn't spoken to Rosalie at all, so she left it and went to take a shower. 36 hours in the hospital hadn't done any favors to her level of hygiene and Shane had already said that she looked like a mess. When she was done, she changed back into the only clothes she had, the ones she had been wearing for the past day and a half or so. Then she slept.
Rosalie woke up several hours later, lightheaded and aching with hunger. It was late in the day and after dealing with Shane, she made her way downstairs. There was no one in sight but happy chatter was coming from another part of the house. She took a couple pieces of fruit from a bowl on the counter and slipped back upstairs, feeling like an intruder. She took a bite of one of the apples and paused a second at Boyd's door before knocking. The door hadn't been quite shut and it swung in a few inches, allowing Rosalie to peer inside. "Boyd?" She couldn't possibly be still asleep.
