Moving was never really an option for Helena either. Despite all the strange things that happened, Bellum felt like a home, more than many of the other places she lived before. Before she couldn't pinpoint a reason why, although now she wondered if it was Mina inside her all along, sensing the building was a place for people like them.
She nodded quietly as he reassured her. Being careful was the only thing that they could do, and while she had always thought she was, it was clear that extra precautions wouldn't hurt. "I'm just tired of being afraid," she said softly, more to herself than to him.
There was a quick flash of surprise when he mentioned the guest room and then immediately she was abashed, cheeks turning a soft pink. She was getting ahead of herself again. "Thank you," she replied sincerely although there was a hint of a laugh in her voice. At the sight of Cain and Abel she couldn't help but coo, letting go of Vlad's hand in favor or giving his two dogs proper hellos, petting and gentle scratches for both. "Oh it's been a while since I've been up here, hasn't it?" It was a bit strange. She had been here so often, as something between a visitor and a worker, and now she was here as a guest of a different kind.
