Faith had always been the kind of girl for innocent flirting - her mother called it "chancing!" and looked upon it disapprovingly - and to be quite honest, a man having a girlfriend or significant other had never really deterred her. That was, after all, why she was here. But at the moment she could plead ignorance and thus was quite happy with showering Cole with southern-sunshine smiles and tilting her head and talking in her breathy twang. "Kids are a handful, ain't they?" she said, taking a sip at her own drink. "I can't imagine teachin', I'm no good for book-learning or any of that, though I always did decent in school. I write better 'n a formal setting than I talk or write online, you know. I think the hardest thing would be to keep a kid's attention. You do good with that? I always was dozin' off. I was a real nice kid though, I didn't talk much."
She certainly did now.
"Still lookin' for a new job, to be honest. I used to work in a boutique on the upper east side of Manhattan but change of locale is makin' me look for a new one. Nothin' too hard or anything, you know, don't want to get my pretty nails all ugly."
