Her nails were digging into his arm and he raised his eyebrows at her, "Kiki, calm the hell down for the love of God!" he said putting his free hand on her shoulder and looking her in the eyes seriously.
"And while you're at it, open your eyes look around and use the brain that I strongly suspect is hiding somewhere behind that pretty little face of yours. My. Wife. Has. Left. Me! I am sorry if this is inconvenient for you, but I need you to calm down, so I can go ahead and continue freaking out!" he said his voice raising just a bit. But really it just made his headache that much worse. He backed away from her and rubbed his forehead and shook his head lightly. "I'm sorry," he said sighing and continuing into the kitchen to make the coffee. He was NOT a yeller, and Kiki certainly didn't deserve to get yelled at. At all. Not over this anyway.
