"I know," Helena conceded with a slight shrug. "But where you and I are, I thought we would get there much later. I thought--" She lifted her hands from under her legs and leaned forward on the table, pressing her fingers to her lips as she tried to start again.
"We got married really young. I know it wasn't ideal and it was completely for my sake. And that's why I've... I've been feeling like you and I aren't quite on the same level. I mean, I never finished school and you pay for everything because you're the one that's working so I have to let..." She had to pause to take another deep breath.
