"True enough. I suppose I can't really get annoyed by that then, can I?" Oliver watched as Ben settled himself on the couch, the way he moved, though his expression did not betray any of the thoughts that might have been going through his head. Instead he waited for Ben to continue, content to wait for as long as was possible.
And then it came. He let himself laugh softly, shaking his head as he settled back against his chair. "I never thought that you hated me. You're simply... a little distant. Understandably so." Another pause, and then the questioning turned elsewhere.
"As for why... I left Pennsylvania about last year. I needed a change of pace, and thought the city might hold that. The lease on my place expired and something drew me here. So here I am." Oliver paused, leaning back forward towards Ben. "And yourself? What brought you to the city? To this... apartment building, in particular."
