Once they had abandoned trying to think of ways to outwit their literary selves, Helena's mood lifted significantly. "I could always act surprised," she insisted with a slight shrug but once he stopped the car he gave her another reason to smile. "No, I don't believe I do. In fact, I will have to insist that we take a walk. Quite a long one to better settle my dinner."
As she opened her door and stepped out of the car she wondered where they could walk off to. Normally she would prefer not to wander so aimlessly at night, but it wasn't that late, and she wasn't alone. She walked around the vehicle to him, wrapping her arm around his and leaning against him. "You will have to choose our route. Apparently I'm determined to be surprised yet."
