Helena never asked what Ella thought of Vlad because she thought she already knew. Ella didn't hesitate too much in telling her that she and Vlad didn't see eye to eye. That was enough for Helena. The realization that it had been years since Daniel had been out made her brows rise. That certainly changed things but not too much. She had already planned on wiping the slate clean in regards to her opinion. This only strengthened that idea.
That last bit made her laugh. "I think that's a bit much." She didn't think the other man disliked her, but she had no indication that he did like her. She was sure that during dinner she kept drifting from wary to appalled to weary and back again. What was there to like? "Hopefully next time we can be somewhere where he'll be more at ease, I can be more charming, and the topic of conversation won't be so dire." There was a smile in her words but it faded at the end now that she reminded what they were talking about at the table. She turned in her seat to look at him, a very simple thing that she had missed doing during dinner, before she asked quietly, "So what did you think about that plan back there?"
