They walked along the busy street, other pedestrians parting to allow them passage. Diego strutted along, content with little Lotte by his side. There was nothing better than a nice day with nice company. His time in New York was starting off very well, which put him in the best of moods.
He glanced down just in time to watch her swallow and throw on a smile. Years of dealing with people and reading faces had given Diego the ability to tell when something was off, and something was definitely off here.
