Ileana had to bite the inner part of her lip to keep from laughing at the sight of Cole's half-hop. It wasn't funny, except it really was. She stayed close anyway, just to make sure everything would be all right. "Well, that's good it's not too long."
She let Cole get settled before she went back to grab her way too big nightshirt from her bag from the living room, still talking loud enough Cole can hear her. "I'm just glad it wasn't worse off. You caught a pretty lucky break that you didn't break anything either."
When she reentered the bedroom, she barely even remembered to turn her back to Cole to start to get ready for bed herself. They were both adults in a relationship, right? He could see her get ready for bed by now. She grabbed the hem of her shirt before lifting it over her head, "It's too bad you have to take so much time off of work. Especially toward the end of the year."
