Cole had to tell himself that Jack hadn't known that he was dating Ileana, and in retrospect the rational part of him knew the man hadn't actually done anything wrong. The less rational part, however, wasn't so convinced that Jack was harmless.
He recognized that she didn't see it as that big of a deal, which was a good thing - he thought it was, anyway. "Hm. Well, as long as he backed off, I guess it's not a big deal. Did you happen to tell him said white knight was me?" He was slightly cheered by the fact that she'd referred to him as such, although he still didn't like the idea of Jack hitting on her in the first place.
"I think he wanted to go to a strip club," he added after a pause, yawning. "But I told him I had to work in the morning. Would you really not have cared if I went?"
