"Just scratches," was her answer to Rick's question about being hurt. Her hand moved up to her shoulders, where the vines had ripped at the newly-healing claw marks bloody, and then she held out her hands, which she knew were the most injured part of her body other than her shoulder, based just on the pain in them. They were gashed from the vines, some errant vine ends still embedded in the skin, but it wasn't anything cleaning and bandages wouldn't fix. "Most of the blood is Cole's," she said, taking a shaky breath. "His leg- you could see the bone, and there was blood everywhere..." she explained, voice trailing off as it became shakier.
She looked down at herself when James came out with the clean clothes, eyes going wide at just how much blood was on her. "Oh, God," she said, voice even shakier. She stood, and she reached for the clothing, but the room swayed, and she had to grab onto the table to steady herself.
"Get it together, Ella Claire," she whispered to herself.
