Of course, nerves hadn't allowed for James to wander very far. She lingered by the stairwell and watched as a couple new faces infiltrated the door of 601. She didn't ask who they were or warn them about what they potentially faced, as both men seemed intent enough in their destination that they obviously knew something. James uselessly ran her hands through her hair and chewed on the edges of her fingers while cursing herself for ever having led all of those people into Shane's apartment in the first place. But why hadn't they just followed her out? Why had they stuck around and tried to have a kumbaya circle with a goddamn wolf? What if somebody got hurt?
