Deirdre had actually begun to forget what it was like to be around people that didn't work for the companies she did consulting for. Being around someone in a social setting was a little strange, in a way that set her off her normal guard. She sat down on the couch to give herself something to do, practically perching on the edge of the seat and not yet allowing herself to relax back onto it.
"It's amazing, the things you can have delivered to your door in this city. I don't even go grocery shopping anymore. The only time I leave my home is to go to work." Her voice got softer near the end, as if she only just realized the things she was saying. She smiled a bit to herself, trying to shake off her own comment. "Good to ease into those tequila shots. The last thing I want is to start dancing on your tables." She smiled a little more, knowing she'd never once gotten up to dance on a table, and that she wouldn't be starting tonight. "If nothing else, I have a few things up at my place too, depending on how sloppy drunk we decide to get."
