"Thanks." Now all he had to do was remember what he'd just learned, maybe even practice them when he was alone or something just to make sure he knew what he was doing, and hopefully he'd be prepared if something happened. He hoped it wouldn't, obviously, but in a place like this it was hard to be so optimistic. He could install ten locks if he wanted, but there were still some things they probably couldn't keep out.
"Well... knives would be useful. I have a lot of those - just the normal kitchen variety. Maybe skillets, too." He made a mental note to keep some of those items handy so he didn't have to go digging through the cupboards if he happened to need one.
