Pete was inhaling a drag on his cigarette when Kiki didn't seem to remember much of anything. What the hell? He blew the smoke out slowly trying to think of the best way to tell her exactly what went down. Somehow he didn't think she'd be able to wrap her head around it (hell, he barely could). He stood up and walked the short distance to the kitchen and grabbed two coffee mugs and poured them each a cup.
"Where did I go? Off to fight bad guys of course," he said unable to really keep the grin off of his face, even if it was a weird situation. "And to find my old friend Van Helsing, who I have just learned is actually named Aiden," he handed her the coffee mug and sat back down next to her. Coffee and cigarette first, then omelet. There had to be priorities!
"Kiki, do you want some help filling in the blanks? It isn't pretty," he asked gently, "And it's pretty unbelievable."
