"I knew who you were... well, sort of. I remembered your name, but I couldn't quite figure out how I knew you. I just knew that I did, somehow." He was glad he hadn't completely forgotten her, since Ichabod had nearly been too afraid to even open the door after the wolf incident. Why did his fable counterpart have to be such a coward? Honestly, it was just his luck to be useless even as a fictional character.
"You haven't?" Cole had no idea how a vampire wound would affect a person if the one who'd inflicted it had only temporarily been a vampire, but there could still be side effects that might take time to manifest. "Well, if you're sure."
He rolled his eyes. "Edward Cullen hardly counts as a vampire. It's allowed." He gave her a teasing nudge as he passed, sprawling out on the couch. "I never said you snored, by the way."
