“Well, he did get me pizza. So he has a point in his section,” she stepped closer as she smiled, “It might’ve been more you than him then. At least the willing to pick up a strange girl in the hall and race her back to your apartment had to be you.”
She still hesitated to go through Cole’s cabinets in front of him. Last time she took a peek after he had left for work while she was still asleep. Mostly she was aghast at how little he had that could be used to actually make anything homemade. She was tempted to go to the grocery store for him and sneak it in to his apartment. “I’m fine. I haven’t been really hungry today.”
Ileana almost choked on her laugh, covering her mouth for a moment. “We’re putting a cap on any vampire comparisons tonight – sparkly or not.” She was still smiling, despite the attempt at sounding stern. “I’m glad I can entertain you before I start snoring on you.”
