She'd run into the laundry room.
In the far corner, the laundry chute that was used to send clothing down to the basement when things were hand-washed drew her attention, and she smiled a triumphant little grin.
She walked over to it, and she peered down the chute, which ended harmlessly over the deep end of the pool below.
She smiled.
She ripped the sleeve off her dress, lamenting its loss for a moment, then she snagged it on the chute. For good measures, she yanked out a few red hairs and did the same. The chute was plenty big enough to hold her, and she was sure the wolf would fit as well.
Especially if he thought she'd gone down to escape him. She cracked open the laundry room door, and then she went and hid among the hanging clean clothing in the corner, where the smells of other people hid her own scent.
