Re: Basement: 2:00 a.m.
She had to think fast once she got into the basement, because she knew she didn't have much time. She wondered where her woodsman was, but Grandmother told her the woodsman came too late the first time, and that she shouldn't trust the man to come on time now.
She looked around, and she grabbed one of the lamp bowls, testing its heaviness. It would have to do. She grabbed her cloak, wrapped it around the bulb and tossed it as far as she could into the center of the pool, watching as the heaviness of the lamp bulb dragged it down, as the fabric spread wide, giving the illusion of a drowned person in the pool's center.
Then she hid around the corner, and she waited. She'd run around the pool once the wolf was in the water. Maybe she'd get to have fun tonight after all.
