Re: 12th floor stairwell, 12:10am
"Excellent!" Katya clasped her hands around her mug of tea, leaning forward. She grinned at the pretty young woman, remembering when she had such beauty. Like the woman across from her, she had been blessed with beautiful dark hair; her skin had been so smooth. Some part of her thought she was still young and beautiful, but she didn't dwell on it. She knew there was magic afoot and instead of fighting it, it would be best to go along with it.
She studied the mess of skulls in her home and slowly they changed. Slowly, they became boxes. Most were emptied or mostly empty. There were a few still full. Why not make use of a young body? "First," Katya said, "you will help me with my things. I would like those chairs moved against the wall." And as she spoke, she indicated which chairs and walls she meant. "Then, you shall dress my bed and clean up the empty boxes."
By this point, all the skulls were boxes once more, and Katya felt a bit more like herself. Still, she was not enough herself to stop the woman sitting with her from the tasks she had been assigned. It would be nice to sit back and let someone else do the work.
She sipped her tea, wincing when she realized it was tepid. While the girl worked, she would heat up another batch. It would give the girl strength, too, as she did her tasks.
Slowly, Katya stood. "Once you are done with this task, I shall give you your next job."
