Re: Penthouse Level: 12:00 am
Daniel flinched back as the basket hit the wall, and he rolled one eye back to give Boyd a look that was utterly Daniel. Then his attention went back to Vlad. He was too focused on him to really get a feel for the hallway other than its narrow shape--he couldn't see where the thorns began or ended. The human blue eyes were lost in the delicate shape of the feline skull as Daniel lowered his head, doggish ears pressed back against his head, teeth still bared. Rosalie and Boyd were utterly ignored; it was if they had not spoken. Yet he backed a little toward them, clearing just enough space for Vlad to get past him in the hallway--if he wanted to walk past those teeth. "You'll regret this, Vlad," Daniel said, in a voice like hard stones grinding together in oil. "When you remember who you are, you will." It was unfortunate, but Daniel's concern was R1 and the people in what he perceived to be his space. It was very beastly, and not unlike Daniel during the darker days of his imprisonment. It was only safe there, and Daniel made it safe with his presence. He couldn't keep it safe while Vlad was there--yet like him, he ignored some quiet part of himself that would have acted differently if full human thought was at his disposal.
