Who: Eliot, Micah and Iris What: Meetings Where: County General When: Before the group plot Warnings: Corpse
The corpse had been waiting for him that morning when he got to County General. It was days old, bloated, and it should have gone straight to the county morgue. How anyone could have mistaken the woman for being revivable was impossible to figure out, but someone had, and the body had ended up here, on a stainless steel table in front of Micah.
He had three corpses to clear out before he had to get to the body on the slab, which meant he had forty-five minutes before anyone thought it strange that he hadn't finished. He left Eliot a forum message, and he got to work on the other three corpses.
Once he was done, he went outside and waited. He knew the other man would show up somehow, just like he knew this was going to be his opportunity to prove himself valuable. He knew Warren Eliot- had read about him, admired him. But the man, his admitted idol, needed him. How Micah knew that, he wasn't sure either.
It was sunny out, bright and cold, and he stood outside the hospital's main entrance smiling at every woman that passed by, cataloging every man, taking notice of every car, and listening to every cellphone conversation.
