WHO: Helena and Ella WHAT: Chitchatting? WHERE: Outside and then off to Le Croquembouche WHEN: An hour after this
Helena's head was still heavy and groggy despite her best efforts, but she wasn't about to let it stop her from meeting with Ella. Her morning had been going completely south, to put it mildly: late to mass, trying to diffuse a grumpy Kiki and an annoyed Peter, and getting snappy with Vlad in the midst of her apologies. All of it happened in the span of a few hours and she needed to go out. She dutifully reminded Kiki about the date she promised the man a few doors down. And as her friend was getting ready, she called out to her that she was going to pop out for a bit and was out the door before she could hear any protests.
The weather had cleared up and she stood outside, silently willing her mood to lighten. The day was a tad warmer, she was breathing in the fresh air, and she was away from it all. She kept reminding herself that the day couldn't get any worse.
