Pete watched as Lena picked up the mess and he shook his head. "I think she's less worried about the dog's stomach and more worried about the floors we just had cleaned," he said taking another puff on his cigarette and wondering if it was safe to make his escape to work yet. He took a drink of his black coffee and watched down the hall waiting for Lena to return.
He was half amused that she did anything at all, and he wanted to give her a long distance high five, but for the most part he just wanted her to come back so he wouldn't be left alone trying to figure out what the hell to say to Kiki. He already had no response to what it was she "did" so the conversation was pretty much out the window.
