Who: Pete Lena and Kiki
What: He's a nice guy who likes to make breakfast for his hungover wife and best pal
Where: 1104
When: Morning of Ash Wednesday, after the ladies' drunken shenanigans
Warnings: Probably some language

Pete didn't mind having company, but when said company showed up unannounced, acted like a crazy person, and didn't exactly set a time for leaving he wasn't too thrilled. However, voicing said annoyance would do nothing but pit the two women now occupying his apartment against him (or worse, possibly each other should Lena ever decide that her friend didn't exactly fit into their lives) he decided to keep his mouth shut and work a ton of overtime and spend as much time as possible away from the apartment.

This morning however, he had the place to himself as Lena and Kiki took off early for mass. Pete only got out of it by promising to go after work, and because Lena would let him get away with murder after a night like the previous one. He debated using the opportunity to sleep a bit longer and be gone to work before they returned but he knew his wife wasn't feeling well, granted it was her own fault, but he was a decent enough husband to at least fill her up with a greasy breakfast before he took off for the day. He left a message for Vlad to say he'd be late, hopefully the amused tone in his voice when he said "Lena's not feeling well" let Vlad know that he was looking after a very hungover Lena.

He put his slippers and his glasses on (too early to put the contact lenses in) and he meandered out to the kitchen. He'd cleaned up after Lena and Kiki had passed out the previous night so the kitchen was ready for him to make breakfast. He got the necessary ingredients for omlettes, his special breakfast home fries, and "Pete's famous cinnamon/sugar pancakes" and set to work. He turned the TV on G4 in the background and listened to the latest updates on Left 4 Dead 2 and while he was cutting up some ham he watched them review Mass Effect 2 and got literally outraged at what they were saying. Clearly the person had no idea what they were talking about and he went back to cutting the meat with renewed vigor.

Pete was a good cook, there was no doubt about that, and it wasn't long before the apartment smelled just as good as the food looked. He was about midway through cooking the pancakes when he heard the front door open and first saw Lena walking through looking a bit worse for the wear. He saw Kiki behind her and nodded at the both of them from his spot behind the counter, "Good morning ladies," he said smiling a bit at the both of them. They were a pair, that was a fact. A very mis-matched pair but a pair nonetheless. "Everyone floored by the Lord this morning?" he teased lightly.
