Ever since Ileana texted her, Daisy was on pins-and-needles. While a tiny part of her was envious of Ileana's good luck -- with the cute English teacher, no less -- a larger part of her was simply happy to bask in the giddy happiness of a crush -- even someone else's crush.
When she spotted Ileana outside of Le Croquembouche, she waved, then half ran toward the other girl. "So, you haven't died of happiness yet," she teased; and once at Ileana's side, she gave the girl an enthusiastic hug. "Okay, summarize the date in one sentence before I die of curiosity!"
