Ed leaned into the brush of her lips, ignoring the sound of a throat being cleared at a nearby table. He kissed her then--a firm, inviting kiss despite being short in length. "I would like you to be honest, however I'll leave that up to you. You have no reason to lie to me--I'm not interested in judging you and if I happen to become jealous of your other suitors I'll simply do more to win your attention for myself. I'm not afraid of being compared to other men..." he smiled then and gave her a confident wink.

Then he paused, to show her that he was being serious. "I think I would be sad if I end up hurting you.... but I know that I'll feel quite disappointed if I fail to win your affections."

He turned so he could whisper the next part in her ear, warm breath teasing her temple and mingling with the scent of her hair. "Of course...if I can't win you over honestly, I just might have to resort to unfair tactics..." he purred.
